Q. 1. How did the tiger, the monkey and the snake help the woodcutter?
(बाघ, बन्दर और साँप ने लकड़हारे को मदद किस प्रकार की ?)
Ans. The tiger once gave the woodcutter a set of gold ornaments, the monkey gave him sweet fruits one day when he was very hungry and the snake helped him in coming out of the prison.
(बाप ने एक दिन लकड़हारे को सोने के आभूषण दिए, बन्दर ने उसे मोठे फल दिए जब वह बहुत भूख था और साँप ने उसे जेल से निकलवाने में मदद की।)

(साँप ने लकड़हारे की मदद करने के लिए क्या किया ?)
Ans. Snake bit the queen on her forehead such that she could not recover unless the woodcutter touched her forehead with his axe. Thus the woodcutter gained king's favor and was freed.
(साँप ने रानी के माथे पर इस तरह काटा कि वह लकड़हारे के उसके माथे को कुल्हाड़ों से छूने मात्र से हो ठीक हो सकती थी। इस तरह लकड़हारे ने राजा का विश्वास जीत लिया और उसे छोड़ दिया गया।)

(अगर 'मैं' जौहरों की जगह होता, मैं बाघ, बन्दर और साँप की तरह ही लकड़हारे के प्रति कृतज्ञ होता कि उसने मेरी जान बचाई। मैं उसे नौकरी दिलवाने में मदद करता। मैं उसका आभारी होता।)
Q. 4. What would have happened to the queen if the woodcutter had refused touch the queen's forehead with his axe?
(अगर लकड़हारा रानी के माथे पर अपनी कुल्हाड़ी छूने को मना कर देता तो रानी को क्या होता ?)
Ans. The snake had bitten the queen just to help the woodcutter, as he was in prison. It only planned that if the woodcutter touches the queen's forehead with his axe, the poison will be vanished. This way the woodcutter will gain kings favour and will be freed. If the woodcutter refused to touch the queen's forehead with his axe, she would have died.
(सांप ने लकड़हारे को बचाने के लिए रानी को काटा था क्योंकि वह वेल में था। साँप ने ही योजना बनाई थी कि अगर लकड़हारा रानी के माचे को अपनी कुल्हाड़ी से छू देगा तो विष गायब हो जाएगा। इस प्रकार लकड़हारा राजा का विश्वास जीत लेगा और उसे छोड़ दिया जाएगा।
अगर लकड़हारा रानी के माथे को अपनी कुल्हाड़ी से नहीं छूता तो रानी की मृत्यु हो जाती।)
